به گزارش ایرنا، این سازمان مستقر در لندن دوشنبه شب در بیانیه ای گفت:رسیدگی به تقاضای فرجام 14 فعال سرشناس زندانی در بحرین از جمله عبدالهادی الخواجه، روز دوشنبه و پس از یك جلسه چند دقیقه ای مجددا تا 30 آوریل(11 اردیبهشت) به تاخیر افتاد.

این جلسه تحت تدابیر شدید امنیتی و بدون حضور متهمان برگزار شد.

پیشتر نیز دادگاه تجدید نظر در تاریخ دوم آوریل رسیدگی به تقاضای تجدیدنظر را به تاخیر انداخته بود.

عفو بین الملل افزود: این تاخیر در دادرسی در حالی صورت می گیرد كه بحرین طی روزهای گذشته شاهد تظاهرات گسترده خیابانی علیه مسابقات اتومبیلرانی فرمول 1 بود كه در جریان آن یك نفر نیز كشته شد.

'حسیبه حاج صحرویی' معاون بخش خاورمیانه و شمال آفریقای عفو بین الملل گفت: مقامات بحرینی از تاكتیك وقت كشی و تاخیر استفاده می كنند در حالی كه این تاكتیك جان عبدالهادی الخواجه را كه وارد هفتاد و پنجمین روز اعتصاب غذای خود شده و در آستانه مرگ قرار دارد، به خطر می اندازد.

وی افزود: آقای الخواجه و 13 متهم دیگر در این پرونده، همگی زندانی وجدان هستند كه فقط به دلیل استفاده مسالمت جویانه از حق آزادی بیان خود در جریان اعتراضات ضددولتی سال گذشته، زندانی شده اند.

در بخش دیگری از بیانیه عفو بین الملل آمده است: آقای الخواجه تاكید كرده است كه به اعتصاب غذای خود تا زمان آزادی ادامه خواهد داد و با توجه به تاخیر ایجاد شده در رسیدگی به تقاضای فرجام، چشم اندازی برای آزادی وی حداقل تا تاریخ 30 آوریل وجود ندارد كه همین مساله نگرانی های موجود را افزایش می دهد.

به نوشته عفو بین الملل، زینب الخواجه دختر این فعال سرشناس حقوق بشر نیز شنبه شب توسط ماموران امنیتی بحرین در منامه دستگیر شد.

عبدالهادی الخواجه 52 ساله، سال گذشته و در جریان اعتراضات خیابانی دستگیر و بعدا به حبس ابد محكوم شد. وی گفته است كه یا باید از زندان آزاد شود و یا تا پای جان به اعتصاب غذای خود ادامه خواهد داد.
